Criscia's Hole in the wall: Superior Quality Black Pet Dog Muzzle Mesh Mask Anti-Biting and Barking

My dog hates to get her nails cut. It doesn't matter how my son tries to do it she freaks out and growls. It's not an intimidating growl it's a please stop growl. But I thought maybe using a muzzle might be a better ideal.

I have seen the one that look like something out of a horror movie and didn't want to go that route. I would probably bite me if I had to wear one of those things. I found this Superior Quality Black Pet Dog Muzzle Mesh Mask and it didn't look like it would be uncomfortable for her to wear so I purchased a medium sized muzzle for my Pit Bull.

The cradle that supports her bottom jaw is made from a nice thick mesh. The mesh is encased in a thick braided strap. The piece that goes up and around her mouth is a wide piece of nylon type material with Velcro as the closure. The really interesting piece to be is the strap that goes around her head. The closure actually has a locking button on it. Once that button is switched to lock, the sides of the release button aren't able to be push in. The strap is adjustable.

There were a couple of things I didn't like about the muzzle, though. No matter how much I adjusted the straps I couldn't get them tight enough. It would just hang loosely on her head. Another thing was that it would take her about 2 secs to get that off with her foot. Ruby's a very stubborn dog. She can do things I have yet to figure out now she does them. Maybe if I had a smaller size, but then I think the muzzle part might wind up being too small.

Other than these couple of points it really is a nice muzzle. It defiantly takes into consideration the dogs comfort.
