The cat toy comes with 8 different colored attachments. The feathers are light and float easily in the wind. They seemed to be attached nicely because she hasn't been able to pull them out yet. The line that attaches them is a nice thickness. Other toys I have gotten like this one the line always breaks when in the first couple of times of use. This line is thicker and reminds be off fishing line so I don't think it will break easily. Some of the attachments have metal pieces to rope end pieces to attach to the line. There are held on by a metal swivel. The pole is extendable and very flexible. My kitten likes the pole as much as she likes the feathers. She had a blast chasing and playing with it.
