Hand Crank Emergency USB Smartphone Charger

I was excited when I saw this Hand Crank Emergency USB Smartphone Charger. Living in Florida and having to be prepared for hurricanes this would have been perfect to have around. I was hoping that it would be something I could crank and it would store the charge and charge my phone. But that's not how it works. I have to keep turning the crank in order to get a charge but as soon as I stop turning it stop charging. If I was truly in an emergency and had to take care of someone else this wouldn't be much of a help. Might be a great form of punishment, though. If my kids bug me too much I could put them to work charging the phones. LOL. 

It does charge but it would take at least two people to be able to use it. One to crank and one to use the phone. It's a great idea I think it just needs a little more tweaking.
