This set is stunning. It comes with 10 brushes and a blending sponge, The handles are all done in a beautiful black with a gold encasing holding the brush bristles. The end of the bristles is super soft. When I first opened them to look at them they did have a bit of a funky almost chemical smell. But imagine that with a little airing out they will be good to go. The brushes come in a cute black drawstring pouch and is perfect for traveling or carrying. It also came with a really nice black blending sponge. It's also super soft and doesn't have any snags or tears in it. 

Since I am giving these away as a gift, I haven't tried them. But I did try testing the bristles. I ran them across my hands and even gave a little tug and all the bristles stayed attached. They also came with a small instruction page. It offers up a suggestion on the use of each brush and also has caring instruction on it.
