When I was growing up my granny had an old hot water bottle. My granny lived on a farm and we were always taking care of babies for all kinds of different reasons. She would fill the hot water bottle up and place in with newborns who just need a little extra heat. My mom has some very serious health problems and she was using a heating pad to help with the pain she was having in her hip and back. She fell asleep one night and the heating pad burned her skin. So when I saw this hot water bottle I thought it would be so much better for her than the heating pad. It's made from a nice thick rubber silicone. It holds heat nicely. I filled mine with hot water from my tub and it fills great. The opening is large enough that it fills fast and easy. It has a screw in plug so I don't have to worry about getting a bath late at night. The plug holds nicely and doesn't leak. It's a nice comfortable size and I can fill it as much or as little as I need. This hot water bottle will be great when I start getting my ear aches this winter.
