I have recently started using fresh garlic in my cooking. I have bought the traditional garlic press and loved it. Then I saw this one and thought I would try it out. With my traditional garlic press, I could only do one or two pieces depending on the size of the garlic. With my new garlic press, I can do a lot more. I tried about 5 pieces and it worked beautifully. With this new garlic press, you just have to keep turning it back and forth till it cuts up all the garlic. Be careful, though, if you force it you might break the teeth inside. After I minced it I removed it very easily. I just used a spoon to spoon it out. Washing it was just as easy, I just added soap and water and rinsed. You could also place it in a dishwasher.
It's made from a very pretty blue plastic. It kind of looks like a yo-yo when it's together. It fit nicely in my hand and was very comfortable to use. I just keep turning it till I got my garlic to the texture I wanted it. I am really liking my new garlic press. It also comes with a silicone tube that you place the garlic in and roll around to clean it. It's a very pretty orange color and just as easy to clean.
