I was so surprised at now easy it was to cut up my chicken. I hate cutting up chicken. I hate the way chicken feels and when I have to cut it up with a knife it takes forever. With these Poultry and Game Shears, it was so easy to separate the pieces. After I cut up the chicken, I checked out the bone to see if it was jagged and I was surprised by how smooth it was. The handles have a locking lever on them to keep the blades shut and so I don't accidently cut my fingers. Also makes storing them easier if the blades stay shut. Wrapping my hand around the handles took a bit to get used to. But once I got used to them they were very comfortable. They are covered in rubber and have grip padding on the outside. They are super easy to clean. just add soap and water. They also come in two colors, green and red. I got the red set and am so happy I did.
