So this was an interesting and fun project. This is the first time I had every heard of or seen anything like IC3D TechTack High-Quality Moldable Plastic Pellets PCL. It is defiantly something that involves a trail and error with use. I tried using hot water first in a plastic bowl but my water wasn't hot enough so I took and added it to a pan and heated it up. Now I have leftover plastic in my pan and have to find a way to get it out. When it gets hot enough the pellets start turning a nice see thru consistency. They are a little warm when I took them out of the water but cool off pretty fast. When I was scooping them out it would leave long strands of plastic like cheese does when it melts. I used a silicone mold because I had read it would be easier to remove the plastic without leaving a mess. It worked too. It popped right out. The back of the piece I molded isn't too pretty but the front doesn't look to bad. There were a few spots that could have been better but with it being my first try I think it turned out pretty good.
I received this item at a free or discounted rate in exchange for a review. Regardless, all options are 100% my own based on experiences with said product.
